Dreary Amsterdam

We made it to Amsterdam after a long, eight hour flight. We left Minneapolis at three in the afternoon and ended up here at six in the morning. Crazy. Sadly I was stuck in the middle of two people so no extra leg room. But one of my seat mates, a nice old man, made sure that I wasn't forgotten for meals and drinks, which was really nice because I might not have had breakfast without him there. (I guess I'm just really easy to glance over or something)

Six hour layover now which is a little to long for my tastes. The airport is huge though, there's even a chocolate bar/cafe where you can buy huge chunks of chocolate and then a glass of champagne. Sounds like my kind of meal! I have learned one thing though, Amsterdam is proud of their flowers! They're everywhere; seeds, bulbs even live plants all sitting next to food stands and expensive perfume shops.

Next stop, Athens! Where we will then go on a scavenger hunt around the city and we'll get to explore for a couple days before flying to Santorini.
