Today was another tiring day. We started late because it's Sunday but we once again hiking up the sides of mountains. This time we were measuring biodiversity along a 30 meter tape. But that also meant getting the tape straight up the slope to measure... Which to say the least was very painful. The boys in our group volunteered to climb the slope of death and count the plants. Needless to say, they were very scratched up. Us girls also managed to get pretty scratched up just walking to the site. But since the boys had it worse, we decided to buy them ice cream in thanks.
After we finished, it was time to relax on the beach with our ice cream. Nothing like sitting on the black sand beaches of Santorini!
It's Katie's birthday so later tonight we went out with her. Our whole group decided to throw her a surprise birthday party at a bar and it was wonderful. She never even knew what was happening. Tomorrow? More hiking and more beach! I'm beginning to see a pattern here...
